Hi, my name is Lauren, and I am a senior at CMC. Before you graduate, you will write at least one research paper, but will probably write several. Thanks to the internet, there is much more information available, but it can be hard to find what is relevant and credible, or even to know where to start. Luckily, researching is a learned skill that improves with practice. The better you are at researching, the better your papers (and grades!) will be. With the vast amount of information out there, it is important to be able to find relevant, credible information quickly. Research can be confusing and stressful, but it doesn’t have to be.
This program is designed to help you use the internet as a research tool. We will talk about using the Libraries of the Claremont Colleges’ online resources, internet resources, and RefWorks to keep track of all your sources.
Objectives:
Once you have finished this study guide, you will:
Be able to create a research plan
Be familiar with the Libraries of the Claremont Colleges online resources
