Hi, my name is Sylvester, and I’m a senior at CMC. If your class or job requires you to analyze a lot of numerical data, then you’ll need some basic skills in a data analysis program like Microsoft Excel.
The purpose of this program is to teach you how to use Microsoft Excel to work with data. You will learn how to get started with Excel if you’ve never used it before. You’ll learn how to manage and manipulate data using Excel’s different features, and how to format a workbook or worksheet. If you already know the fundamentals of Excel, I hope that you’ll learn a few more useful techniques from this tutorial.
Objectives:
By the time you have finished this study guide, you will be able to:
Navigate the Excel interface and build a workbook by entering and editing data into worksheets.
Perform calculations using formulas and functions, as well as manage data using sort, search and filter features.
Format worksheets and present data in charts and graphs.
Use some advanced features of Excel, such as importing/exporting data, creating forms and building templates.
Workload:
You should be able to finish the entire program in under 3.5 hours. If you prefer, you can cover the basics, and then jump ahead to the module that might benefit you most, such as using Excel's analytical features or creating graphs.
